"Sliding" duration means the expiration timer resets each time you actively use the Service. For example, the 14-day authentication cookie won't expire while you're using Rideau AI regularly. It only expires after 14 consecutive days of inactivity.
Note: The __Host- prefix is a security feature that ensures these cookies can only be set by our domain over HTTPS.
3. What We Don't Use
Rideau AI does not use:
- Third-party cookies of any kind
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, etc.)
- Advertising or marketing cookies
- Cross-site tracking cookies
- Tracking pixels, web beacons, or similar technologies
- Local storage or session storage for tracking purposes

4. Privacy-Preserving Analytics
For understanding how our marketing pages are used, we use a privacy-preserving approach that does not involve cookies:
- Page views are logged server-side
- IP addresses are hashed with a daily-rotating salt and immediately discarded
- No personal data is stored or shared with third parties
