Your Data. Canadian Law.
Pick the level of protection that your data needs.
Paste that document. We'll handle the sensitive bits.
Are you really going to go through that 50-page document and remove all of the sensitive information yourself?
Me neither.
Turn on PII Shield. It automatically detects and redacts personal information from your messages before they reach any foreign AI provider. The AI works with placeholders and then our servers swap the placeholders back to real data, so you get the full answer. The AI provider gets nothing.
Ideas can't be redacted. They can still be private.
Strategy. Code. The thing you haven't told your board yet. Not everything can be redacted.
Choose a Canadian-hosted model to process everything on servers we control. Your data never crosses a border and is never seen by a third-party, even temporarily. When someone asks where the data went, the answer is:
It never left.
They can't read what they can't decrypt.
Your data is encrypted using keys controlled by a Canadian company, on hardware we own and operate ourselves, not rented from any third party, separate from where your data is stored. A breach, a subpoena, a compromised administrator. Whatever the threat, our cloud provider can only hand over unusable encrypted text.
This is automatic. Every conversation. Every model.

Become a Founding Member
Sign up during Beta and you're a Founding Member for life. Lock in a permanent 20% discount on any plan, for as long as your subscription stays active.
Will my price ever go up?
Today's Beta prices are already 20% below the regular pricing we plan to publish at launch. So if our pricing targets hold, your Founding Member price stays exactly what you pay today. If costs ever push our published prices up beyond what we can reasonably absorb, yours will move up too, but you'll maintain your 20% Founding Member discount.
Does the platform work? Does any of this even exist?
Yes. Everything we've shown you is available today. All the latest models, all the tools, all the privacy features. Canadian-hosted models are limited right now, but we're working on expanding both selection and capacity.
Why the beta then?
Honestly, we could drop the beta label today and the product would stand on its own. But we have more features to add and capacity to expand before we ship 1.0. We also want to hear from you and get your feedback, so this can be more than just a privacy tool. We want this to be your default AI platform. The kind that treats your data the way you'd want it treated. You shouldn't have to sacrifice capability for privacy.

Frequently Asked Questions
What models do I get?
Every model in our catalog, on every plan. We don't lock powerful models behind expensive tiers the way other AI providers do. Higher tiers give you more capacity (bigger context windows, more searches, more files), but every model is available from day one.
If you only have the budget for our Starter plan, you can still ask that super important question to the latest AI models without paying a small fortune just to unlock them.
Isn't this just a ChatGPT wrapper?
Wrappers give you a different interface. We are a compliance and privacy engine that gives you a different legal posture. We encrypt all your data with keys out of reach of any foreign entity. You can access the same frontier models and we'll redact sensitive data before anything leaves the country. And when the work requires it, Private Inference keeps everything in Canada on servers we control.
What if my company banned ChatGPT?
If the ban was about data sovereignty (US servers, US courts, no notification on compelled disclosure), then that's exactly what Rideau AI addresses. We're Canadian-controlled, Canadian-encrypted, and under Canadian law. Depending on the type of data you're working with, you may be able to use ChatGPT through our platform with data redaction enabled. If not, then you can definitely use our Canadian-hosted models, where your data never leaves Canada and is never visible to foreign providers.
Do you train on my data?
Never. You are not the product here.
For every third-party provider on our platform (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others), the terms of our integration prohibit long-term retention of your data and training on it. We would not offer access to a model if using it meant your data could be kept or trained on.
Where is my data stored?
Toronto, Ontario. Encrypted by our application using keys held on hardware we own and operate ourselves, separate from the cloud provider.
Is Rideau AI GDPR compliant?
Canada holds an EU adequacy decision, which covers how we store and process your data. For third-party inference, PII Shield lets you redact identifying information before it reaches any provider, keeping your personal data in Canada. For the strongest guarantees, Private Inference ensures your data never leaves Canadian infrastructure.
Is Rideau AI workplace-safe?
Rideau AI blocks genuinely harmful content but doesn't filter your opinions. It's workplace-safe by design. If our system detects a crisis, it shows support resources, not a block screen.
Why is there no free trial?
We don't have a free tier because free tiers are how other AI companies justify training on your data. We charge from day one so the product is sustainable without monetizing your data. Our $9 Starter plan includes a 7-day trial period, money back, no questions asked.
What happens if I hit my capacity limit?
Capacity refreshes on a rolling ~5-hour window and a 7-day weekly ceiling. You won't run out for the month on day two. When you approach a limit, you'll see a warning. Full details are in the app.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel at any time from inside the app. No phone calls. No maze of screens to trick you into staying. Quebec consumer protection laws require that our cancellation process is as easy as our sign-up process, and we think that should be offered to everyone regardless of where you live.
What happens to my data if Rideau AI goes out of business?
Your conversations and files are exportable any time in JSON or Markdown, no support ticket required. If we ever wind down, we'd give ample notice so you can export. If we vanish tomorrow, the Canadian-held keys vanish with us, rendering all data stored in the cloud unreadable to anyone, including any foreign government that compelled the cloud provider to hand over the drives. We keep a backup of the keys in Canada for ordinary hardware failures, but the keys never leave Canada and are never accessible to a foreign party. This architecture allows us to operate on foreign-owned Canadian infrastructure privately, but also serves as a dead man's switch in the extreme scenario. Nothing about the architecture requires you to stay locked in.
Can I trust a small Canadian company with sensitive data?
The architecture protects your data, not headcount. Encryption keys held in Canada, separate from the cloud provider, work the same whether the company has five people or five hundred. And fewer employees means fewer hands with any operational access at all. Would you rather give 10,000 employees at a US company access to your data or have a few Canadians standing watch? Rideau AI is bootstrapped and sustainable by design, accountable to customers, not to investors who'd eventually want to monetize you.
